Readthroughalltheinstructionsbeforestartingtousetheairconditioner.Keepthismanualinasafeplaceforfuturereference. 1.Supervisionisneededwhentheair-conditionerisused anywherenearchildren.Thisapplianceisnotintendedforuseby childrenorotherpersonswithoutassistanceorsupervisioniftheir physical,sensoryormentalcapabilitiespreventthemfromusing itsafely. 2.Donotusetheair-conditioneroutdoors. 3.Standtheair-conditioneruprightonafirm,evensurface.Make sureitisstandingsecurelysothatitcannottiltorfallover.Water candamagefurnitureandfloorcoverings. 4. Unwindthepowercordcompletely.Anincompletelyunwound powercordcanleadtooverheatingandcauseafire. 5. Ifthepowercordoftheair-conditionerisdamaged,itmustbe repairedbyaworkshopthatisapprovedbythemanufacturer,as specialtoolsareneeded. 6.Donotuseanextensioncordoravariablespeedcontroller.This canleadtooverheating,fireorelectricshock. 7.Onlyconnecttheair-conditionerwithasingle-phaseearthed powersocketwiththecurrentstipulatedonthetypeplate. 8.Switchtheair-conditioneroffandalwayspullthepowerplug outofthepowersocketwhentheair-conditionerisnotinuse,or whenitismoved,handledorcleaned.Donottugatthecordwhen disconnectingthepowerplug. 9.Theair-conditionerfunctionsbestatroomtemperaturesofup to35°C. 10.Do notusetheair-conditionerneareasilyinflammablegases ormaterials,nearanopenfire,orinalocationwhereoilorwater couldsplash.Donotsprayinsecticidesorsimilarsubstancesonto theair-conditioner.Makesurethattheair-conditionerisnot exposedtodirectsunshine.Donotoperatetheair-conditionerina hothouseoralaundry,ornearabathtub,ashoweroraswimmingpool. 11.Donotusetheair-conditioneroutdoors.Theair-conditioneris intendedonlyfordomesticuseindoors,inaccordancewiththeuser manual,andisnotintendedforindustrialuse. 12.Beforestartingtooperatetheair-conditioner,makesurethat theairintakes(3,8)andairoutlet(1)areopen.Theair-conditioner mustnotbepositionedbehindcurtainsordrapes,orbehindother objectsorobstacleswhichcouldhindertheaircirculation.Make surethatnoobjectscangetintotheairintakes(3,8)andairoutlet (1),asthiscanleadtooverheating,fireorelectricshock. 13.Do notdirecttheairoutlet(1)directlytowardspeople,plants, pets,walls,furnishingsorobjects. 14.Do notpullthepowerplugoutofthepowersocketwhenthe air-conditionerisinuse.First press the power button to the OFF position. 15.Afterswitchingtheair-conditioneroff,waitfor3-5minutes beforeswitchingitbackonagain,asthecompressorcould otherwisebedamaged. 16.Donotimmersetheair-conditionerinwateroranyother liquidsanddonotpourwateroranyotherliquidsovertheunitor intotheairintake(8)orairoutlet(1). 17.Cleantheair-conditionerregularlybyfollowingthecleaning instructions.

1.Allwiringmustcomplywithlocalandnationalelectricalcodes andbeinstalledbyaqualifiedelectricianIfyouhaveanyquestions regardingthefollowinginstructions,contactaqualifiedelectrician. .Checkavailablepowersupplyandresolveanywiringproblems beforeinstallationandoperationofthisunit. 3.Foryoursafetyandprotection,thisunitisgroundedthroughthe powercordplugwhenpluggedintoamatchingwalloutlet.Ifyou arenotsurewhetherthewalloutletsinyourhomeareproperly grounded,pleaseconsultaelectrician.Donotuseplugadaptersor extensioncordswiththisunit.Ifitisnecessarytouseanextension cordwithextensioncordonly(availableatmostlocalhardware stores). Connectexhausthoseassemblytothebackoftheunit.Extend hosetodesiredlengthandlocatetheexhaustnozzlethroughthe windowforventilation(Fig.1). Exhaust Duct Set Assembly and Installation 1.Insertendsofexhausthose(11)intoexhaustnozzleconnector (10)bytwistingcounter-clockwiseuntilitstops. .Attachoneexhaustnozzleconnector(10)ontotherearoutletof theunit.Thisisachievedbyslidingtheexhaustnozzleconnectorof hosedownwardovertheexhaustoutletofunit(4)ensuringthat 5

Air Conditioning with Installation Ifrequiredyourappliancecanalsobeinstalledsemi-permanently (Fig.5). Proceed as follows: 1.Drillaholeinanoutsidewall,throughadoororawindowpane. Theholeshouldbenolargerthan15mm,andbetween35cmand 100cmfromfloorlevel.Ifyoudrillthroughawall,werecommend thatyouinsulatethatsectionwithsuitablematerials.(Figs.6-7) .Fittheflangeaccessoryfixture(1)providedintothehole. 3.Fittheexhausthoseinthehousingatthebackoftheappliance (Fig.). 4.Inserttheotherendoftheexhausthosetotheflangealready placedinthehole(Fig.7). NOTE:Wheninstallingtheairconditionersemi-permanently,you shouldleaveadoorslightlyopen(aslittleas1cm)toguarantee sufficientventilation. Power Control Thepowercontrolturnstheunitonandoff. Warning Light Condensedwatermayaccumulateintheunit.Iftheinternaltank becomesfull,thewarninglightintheLCDDisplaywilllightupand theunitwillnotoperateuntiltheunithasbeendrained. Mode Control TheModeControlhas3settings:Cool,Dehumidify,andFan.The settingsareadjustedwiththeModeControlbutton.Alightwill indicatewhichsettingisbeingused. 1. Cooling Mode Whencoolmodeisselected," "willshowintheLCDdisplay. Duringthecoolingmodetheairiscooledandhotairisexhausted totheoutsideairthroughtheexhausttube.Adjustfanspeedand temperaturetosuityourdesiredcomfortlevel. Note:Theairexchangehosesmustventoutsidetheroomwhen usingCoolingMode. 2. Dehumidify Mode Whendehumidifymodeisselected," "willshowintheLCD display.Airisdehumidifiedasitpassesthroughtheairconditioner withoutbeinginfullcoolingmode.Iftheroomtemperatureis >5°C(77°F),fanspeedcanbeadjusted;otherwise,fanspeedis setatMedium. Note : The warm air exchange hoses must vent inside the room when using Dehumidify Mode, not outside as it does when cooling. If the unit is vented outside some cooling will occur. 6

LCD Display Time/Temperature Set Control: ·Usedforadjustingthetimerandtemperature. ·Thedefaultdisplayonthecontrolpanelisroom temperature ·When" "or" "buttonispressedincoolmodetheset temperatureisdisplayedandmaybeadjusted.After15seconds thedisplaywillrevertbacktoroomtemperature. ·Timersettingisavailablefrom1-4hoursbypressingthe" "or " "button."button. Mode Control:Presstochangetheoperatingmode,whichwill rotatethroughCool-Dehumidify-FanandbacktoCool.

NOTE: · Do not drop the remote control. · DO not place the remote control in a location exposed to direct sunlight. · The remote control should be placed about 1 meter or more away from TV or any electrical appliance. Battery Replacement Removethecoveronthebackoftheremotecontrolandinsertthe batterieswiththe+andpolespointingintheproperdirection (Fig.11). CAUTION: Use only AAA or IEC R03 1.5V batteries. Remove the batteries if the remote control is not used for a month or longer. Do not attempt to recharge the supplied batteries. All batteries should be replaced at the same time; do not mix old and new batteries. Do not dispose of the batteries in a fire, as they may explode. Thefollowingcasesmaynotalwaysbeamalfunction;pleasecheck yourunitbeforeaskingforservice. My air conditioner does not run. ·Checktoseeiftheprotectortriporafuseisblown ·Pleasewaitfor3minutesandstartagain. ·Thebatteriesintheremotemightneedreplacing. ·Checktoseeiftheplugisproperlypluggedin. My air conditioner runs for only a short time. ·Thetemperaturemightbesetclosetotheexistingroom temperature. ·Anairoutletmightbeblocked. My air conditioner runs, but is not cooling. ·Adoororwindowmaybeopen. ·Theremaybeaheaterorlampinoperation ·Theairfiltermayneedtobecleaned. ·Anairoutletorintakemaybeblocked. ·Thetemperaturemaybesettoohigh. My air conditioner will not run, and the WATER FULL indicator light is on. ·Drainthewaterintoapreparedcontainerbythedrainagepipeon therearpaneloftheunit. ·Ifthisdoesnotwork,pleaseconsultaqualifiedtechnician.
